Oh la la...Paris!

Oh la la...Paris!

Paris was our next stop. We took the 'Thalys' to Paris, Gare du Nord. It took us 4 hours to reach. We had booked into 'a room in Paris', a B&B for a a genuine paris home experience...which we got.http://www.aroominparis.com/aroominparis_EN.html

We brought the 'carnet' ticket...a set of 10 tickets which comes to be a lot cheaper than the actual cost. The Metro system is pretty extensive, though old and 'graffitied' to the hilt!

1. We did what is supposed to be seen FIRST...Eiffel Tower! Thought it is a bit overrated. Was very crowded. Decided to skip the queue and climb instead...enjoyed it thoroughly. The views on the top were more than amazing. Well worth the climb and more. Took the bus till there (42, I think)

We walked till the 'Galaries Lafayette' and 'Printemps', the two big and amazing malls, not to be missed.

2. Disneyland...Bon jour Mickey!!http://www.disneylandparis.com/

With our daughter, this was highest on our agenda. so our first moning was from Gare du Nord to Chessy 'disneyland'. We spent the entire day there. A most fantastic and magical day. It was absolutely wonderful. The streets, the decor, the rides, the cute wonderstruck children...

3. Arch de Triumph & Champs Elysess pronounced, shaw-ze-lee-zei. The most famous street in the world! Well worth the visit. A must eat is the macaroon...yummmmm at Laduree. The taste and the texture is unimaginable...not at all lke our cocout macaroons. Saw the 'Lido' and enjoyed. The grand stage, elaborate costumes, or the lack of them!!
